ABOUT US
The Police Foundation - Arlington Texas was created for charitable and educational purposes. The Foundation's Board of Directors recognizes that the effective reduction of crime is essential to the continued health and strength of The City of Arlington, Texas (“City”) and requires professional law enforcement personnel who are expertly trained and dedicated to their duties and responsibilities.
The initiatives and goals of The Police Foundation include:
Provide financial assistance to law enforcement families whose loved ones have been killed in the line of duty. This financial support will go to the spouse (if no spouse, then to the parents) of Tarrant County law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. Assistance will be provided to law enforcement officials regardless of agency as long as the agency is in Tarrant County.
Provide assistance for law enforcement educational purposes, travel and training. The Foundation will pay training expenses for Arlington Police employees when city funds are not available and a request has been submitted to the Arlington Police Training Center Commander. The Foundation recognizes that the continued education of law enforcement personnel is essential to the continued safety and strength of the City of Arlington.
